c. 2012 Riding the ‘Loop’ in Chicago one is engulfed with pulsating sounds, fractions of light, and momentary jolts of velocity, giving new commuters the experience of tachophobia (the fear of speed). This apparatus captures and re-creates the experience of riding the ‘Loop’, sensitizing the victim.
